Say What? Google Alerts reports when someone is talking about your firm (and what they have to say!)

Managing your online reputation is important.  One tool to help you stay on top of what online influencers are saying about your firm, your industry, or your competition?  Google Alerts. Get instant notification when your company name appears in online by using the free Google Alerts service. It’s easy to set up an alert which emails you the online story, blog entry or video featuring your company. Include search terms based on your industry or competitors too.

Don’t forget, while you’re in your Google account, to get their free Google Analytics code for your website. This code, easily incorporated into your site’s backend by your webmaster, allows you to track your website’s activity, including search terms users are entering to find you and linking pages sending you traffic. Use this information to develop new SEO campaigns, improve page content, and benchmark against future changes.
